small kids in rothenburg, eating sleeping, etc

Hi,

The wife, kids (going on 2 years and 3 years) and I want to spend a couple of nights in Rothenburg. Any recommendations for anywhere small-child-friendly to stay? It doesn%26#39;t need to be anywhere with kids oriented facilities, beyond a cot (because we%26#39;ll be mostly out and about anyway). Just somewhere I don%26#39;t need to worry a lot about them breaking expensive fragile things, or making noise and getting frowned at.

What about restaurants, along the same lines?

Cheers,

Ben

My daughter (who was then 8) and I stayed at Haus Karin, just outside the city walls, and had a good experience. Between Karin%26#39;s house and the walled city is a small playground, and there is another playground outside the city walls at one point.

Goldener Greifen, inside the walls is child friendly.

Good food, as well, with own car park. Front door opens to market square. Good English.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions folks!

Hi,

We have stayed at hotel Rappen 3 times. We do have two children, and the rooms are big and cheap. They also have parking places. They have a restaurant in the garden, with some playing area, perfect place for a bear in the evening. The hotel is just outside the town wall, perfect situated, just a short walk to the city square. The kids love this hotel, and are always asking if we can stay there when we are close by.
