How much time to get from airport to train at Frankfurt Main

I%26#39;ll be landing around 11:30 am in the Frankfurt Main Airport. I need to take a train to Ansbach, Germany and therefore need to get to the Frankfurt Hbptf Main trainstation. Any suggestions on how much time I%26#39;ll need to get off, go through customs, get bags and transfer? There is a train at 12:30 pm but I%26#39;m afraid that won%26#39;t be enough time. Any suggestions?

The S-Bahn itself only takes 11 min. from the airport to the Hauptbahnhof, but it usually only runs every 15-20 min. I usually figure 45 min. as an average to land, pick up my stuff and get out the door, but that is a best case scenario. It also depends on if you are landing at Term. 1 or 2. Are you checking bags? If not, you will get out quicker. A plus point is that flights from the states often land early. My last one from Cinci, landed a whole hour early! But you can%26#39;t count on it. When is the next train to Ansbach? Do you have a special pre-purchased ticket or are you ok with just buying it when you land?

There are quite a number of connections where you don%26#39;t have to change at Frankfurt Hbf but at Würzburg Hbf.

FRA = shortcut for Frankfurt Airport train stations

Hbf = Hauptbahnhof = main railway station

Frankfurt/Main = Frankfurt at the river Main - has nothing to do with the English word %26quot;main%26quot;.

Yes, there are trains which depart from the Frankfurt Flughafen [Airport] DB train station to Würzburg Hbf where you would change to a Regional train to Ansbach.

There are two train stations in the airport: go to the Fernbahnhof, which is for the distance trains. There is a ticket office there for ticket purchase if you haven%26#39;t pre-purchased. I%26#39;m not sure about getting one from a machine as I haven%26#39;t done it that way.
