Overnight train from Munich to Venice

Hi, I will be arriving at Munich %26quot;Franz Josef Strauss%26quot; Airport on 16 May at 18:05 and plan to take an overnight train to Venice. Will I be able to buy the tickets at the train station on that day?

There is a train departing from München Flughafen Terminal at 22:42 to Venezia Santa Lucia. But I cannot buy the tickets online.

Why don%26#39;t you use the train dep 20:02 at Munich airport. This is a connection with a direct night train from Munich to Venice. And you can book online. 2 hours between arrival at Munich airport and departure of the train station are more than sufficient.

The 22:42 connections involves a change of trains in Villach/Austria (arr 03:52 dep 04:45). Are you really keen on this?

That%26#39;s not without risk. And the discounted specials still available for the 20:02 connection are only available if you buy in advance. And as they are limited in numbers they can sell out sooner or later.

My reason for not getting an earlier train was that I am not sure how long I would need to check out from the airport and then from airport to the main (Hauptbahnhof)train station. It seems like I can now take the train directly from the airport.

It seems the 20:02 train is a better option. Can I verify from you that München Flughafen Terminal is Munich %26quot;Franz Josef Strauss%26quot; Airport?

1 more question. The discounted price is avalable for 1 person in compartment in a Day couch. The following link does not describe what a Day couch is:

Only Couchette and Sleeper are described. I would like to know if a bed or a reclining chair is provided in a Day couch.

München Flughafen = Munich Airport

This is only one airport in Munich. Where Franz Josef Strauss Airport Munich is the full name of.

A day couch is a type of railcar like used for daytime trains.

However in this case not the one shown on the photo, but the %26quot;Spacious compartments with 6 seats%26quot; ones. Which are only spacious if just 3 seats are used.

I would not recommend to use this option.
