Can anyone tell me how to get from

a) Wangener Landhaus Betriebsgesellschaft mbH

Weissensteiner Straße 13-15 (my Hotel) to b)the airport, using S Bahn?

Does the S Bahn start very early in the morning like say five thirty?

I%26#39;m visiing Germany(stuttgart) for the first time and don%26#39;t know the language so am finding it really tough!

Weissensteinerstrasse is halfway between two U-bahn stops. From the one closer to Stuttgart, Wasenstrasse, you can take the U-4 to Untertuerkheim and catch the S-bahn into Stuttgart. Make sure that you are standing at the correct platform for the U-4 going in the proper direction, as if I remember correctly, there are two different platforms there a block or so apart serving other lines. You can transfer at many stops between the S-1 which you then will be on and the S-2 or S-3 which go to the airport, probably do it at the main train station (Hauptbahnhof). I%26#39;m not certain where Wangener Landhaus Betriebsgesellschaft is, but if it is Wangen, as the name suggests, than the hotel cannot be more than a few blocks away walking.

abalada has advised me that you are staying at one of the Apart Hotels, there are 3 in Wangen, and the Aparthotel Wangener Landhaus stop, according to their information in the Stuttgart hotel directory, is the above mentioned Wasenstrasse. (I was a little confused thinking you were going to a business, and from there to a hotel, as the information you supplied is the hotel owner%26#39;s name, and I had originally misread your message.

I%26#39;ll add a few other things. First, to get to the Untertuerkheim S-bahn station, you can also use the U-13 as well as the U-4 from the Wasenstrasse U-bahn stop, and I believe the U-13 stop is slightly closer to your hotel. (The U-13 is one of the few U-bahn lines that don%26#39;t go through central Stuttgart, but along its north side, however convenient for Wilhelma zoo-botanical garden.)

You can use either the U-9 (goes to train station) or the U-4 (goes to Charlottenplatz) to access central Stuttgart from the Wasenstrasse stop. And as I now don%26#39;t think that this is a business trip, you might find the information in the tourist office website ( www.stuttgart-tourist.de ) useful. Also you can visit one of their offices either opposite the train station on Koenigstrasse, or between baggage claims for Terminals 1/2 and 3/4 on the arrivals level of the airport, for their wealth of free information on Stuttgart. Thanks everyone, I made it to the airport from Wangner by taking a U Bahn to Hauptbahnhof and then the S Bahn. I enjoyed Stuttgart very much, although I did not see much of it as I was attending a conference. But everyone was so friendly and helpful. Lovely place, wonderful people.
