Hello,
my fiancé and I are planning our honeymoon (14-16 days, but flexible) and we were thinking about starting in Munich. From Munich we would like to travel to either Austria or Switzerland and then take a cheap flight to London (2-3 days), then Eurostar to Paris (2-3 days) and finish with a cheap flight or night train to Barcelona (4 days). We realize that it will be busy, but we%26#39;ve been to London and Paris before so we don%26#39;t have to see everyting again.
We are wondering:
-Should we go to Austria (ex: Salzburg maybe) or Switzerland?
-How many days we should stay in each places (starting in Munich)?
Any suggestions?
thanks!

We love Salzburg and it would certainly be a nice contrast to the other stops on your list, mostly big cities.
It is a quick 90 minutes by train from Munich and an excellent base for daytrips to the Salzkammergut region, which is stunning!
I have only visited a few spots in Switzerland and found it very expensive - much preferred Germany and Austria (7th trip).
I do think that is a lot of territory to cover but to each his own.

Salzburg is a great place, romantic, after all it is your honeymoon. Stay in the old town for its lovely ambience in a hotel like the Blaue Gans or Elefant. Take a carriage ride. Split the speciality Salzberger Nockerl for dessert. What%26#39;s nice about Salzburg is that it is a lovely small city that sits literally on the doorstep of both the Austrian and German Alps. There%26#39;s a lot of interesting fun things to do there, such as a visit to the bishop%26#39;s water garden where he liked to play tricks on his guests with water, the unforgettable ice caves by Werfen (nice castle also), a visit to the underground salt mine from either the Austrian or German side, a boat ride amidst the wonderful scenery on the Koenigssee, perhaps a Sound of Music tour, or other visits into the nearby mountains. It%26#39;s an excellent place to spend a week or more. From Salzburg you can get to London inexpensively with Ryanair.
