Running in Cologne

I%26#39;m going to be spending about 2 weeks in Cologne. I%26#39;m looking for any info on Running, like are there 5k races or such in germany? Here in the US there are tons of races, just having a hard time finding any info besides the Cologne marathon. Any info would be great.

haven%26#39;t seen any info on 5k races, but if you just want to run it is a beautiful city for that. You can run along the Rhine, the city is laid out well for running and if you are outside of the city there are hiking areas that would work great as well.

Don%26#39;t know about any %26quot;official%26quot; races except the Cologne marathon, but Cologne is a great city for running. Just get to the Rhine river somewhere and it%26#39;s not far to some nice green running spots at the river, away from the heavy traffic. The %26quot;green belt%26quot; around the west city, especially in Hiroshima Nagasaki Park and Volksgarten are also great for running.

I lived in Koln a few years ago and there were loads of road races, but I can%26#39;t remember at which time of year they were but have a look at this website it gives that dates of a lot of runs in the local area,
