These are very different areas!
Both have reviews on TripAdvisor and on Booking.com (their reviews come from people who have booked the hotel through them, so I consider them quite trustworthy)

Are you looking to live in the suburbs close to the Botanical Gardens? Do you have a conference at the Freie Universitaet or medical procedure at Benjamin Franklin Hospital?
In any case, the Ravenna is not that far from the centre (personally, I would prefer this area to the Sonnenallee, as I find it more pleasant): there is a U-9 station just across the corner (which should get you to the Zoo station rather quickly); there is a huge shopping street in the area; and as you said yourself, also some nice sights.
On the other hand, the Best Western Euro is in a completely different neighbourhood, some would say, a %26quot;real%26quot; Berlin neighbourhood: that is, working class (or in fact, unemployed class); many migrants from all over the world, but especially from Arab countries; etc.
Plus sides: It is quicker to get to the centre (Alexanderplatz, Potsdamer Platz) from this hotel; A fringe benefit of being in such a migrant neighbourhood is many good ethnic restaurants;
Negatives: the area is, by Berlin standards, less safe, and certainly less clean. You will see pushers in the entrances to the U-Bahn underground station in Hermannplatz, you will see also the people who are the results of this activity, lying on the banks or pavements of Hermannplatz. I don%26#39;t like it (neither do I like the Hizbullah flags in the above mentioned %26quot;ethnic%26quot; restaurants) - but in comparison to similar areas in London, Paris or even post-Giulliani New York - it is not %26quot;dangerous%26quot; or %26quot;unsafe%26quot;.
I hope I haven%26#39;t scared you with the latter description. It must be stressed, that in Berlin, even an area like that is normally safe.

Thank You for the info
We have booked reservations @ the Ravenna Hotel...we also have a rental car, will be driving from Wurzburg.
We are seniors %26amp; wanted to be sure the Ravenna Hotel was in a nice area, where we feel safe.
Our ( senior) plans, are to take the open air bus %26amp; do a full city tour.
We are not interested in bars %26amp; nightclubs.
Do you know where the open tour bus starts ???
Can we take a tram from the Ravenna Hotel to pick up the Bus tour ??
We can leave the car parked @ the Hotel
What sights is the Ravenna Hotel closest to ??
You are so helpful, thanks
Senior citizens.....

I think that they start next to the Zoo station (as mentioned before, near the Ravenna you%26#39;ve got the U9 underground line that goes directly to the Zoologischer Garten station).
However, if you will check the general opinions here, most people (including me) would tell you that Berlin is not very suitable for hop-on hop-off bus tours, and that a walking tour (e.g. with Insider Tours) is the best way to know all important sites in half-a-day.
