hi i will be staying in friedrichshain for a few nights and would like to know of any bars in the area that serve food. i know that it i quite close to mitte so i always have the option to go there. not looking for anything overpriced but just good food at average prices. also how is the nightlife in that area on a week night. im going to be in berlin on a monday to thursday

There%26#39;s food all over the place at small restaurants and cafés, stand-alone and chain restaurants in any possible ethnic flavour you can think of (including, occasionally, German). Especially along Simon-Dach-Strasse, Grünberger Strasse, Boxhagener Str., but really just about any street that isn%26#39;t purely residential or industrial. No need to go to any other district. And, cross the bridge over the Spree and you%26#39;re in Kreuzberg which is also full of etaing and drinking establishments.
