I am trying to figure out how to fit everything we want to do in the days that we will be there...We will be arriving in Munich late June 12, so all we will do that night is check into our hotel. We will have June 13, 14, and 15 (will be taking a late train on the 15th to Venice), so we will have Saturday through Monday to spend exploring the area. Here is what we really want to do and see while in Munich:
-Dachau (would like to do this in the morning and then come back and do something fun to lighten up what I%26#39;m sure we will experience here - I was thinking of doing Mike%26#39;s Bike Tour at 4 pm this same day.)
-Mike%26#39;s Bike Tour (half day)- this will take us to a lot of popular attractions and squares, including part of Englischer Gartens (sp?)
-Day trip to Neuschwanstein and Linderhof
-Alte Pinakotech
-have a beer at Hofbrahaus (sp?)
-some of the churches in the area (let me know if you have suggestions!)
-possibly Nymphenburg Palace or Residenz, if time
If you have any other suggestions for things to do and see, please feel free to make suggestions.
The way I had it originally set up was this:
Fri. - arrive in Munich late
Sat. - Dachau (morning/afternoon), Mike%26#39;s Bike Tour at 4
Sun. - day trip to Neuschwanstein and Linderhof
Mon. - Alte Pinakotech, churches, shopping, Nymphenburg Palace?
However, this plan won%26#39;t work because Alte Pinakotech is closed on Mondays. I really don%26#39;t want to be travelling on Monday (to Dachau or Neuschwanstein) because we will have a very long train ride that evening. Also, I would like to stick around Munich that day because I would worried about not making it back in time to get on the train.
Any ideas on how to fix this itinerary to make it work? FYI - I don%26#39;t think we will spend a huge amount of time at Alte Pinakotech (I know it is huge!); we really just want to see the more famous exhibits.

Understood your problems with travel on Monday.
But Dachau is really not far at all, so you could combine that with Nymphenburg etc.
I think you%26#39;ll be tired on Sat, so maybe Dachau then isn%26#39;t so brilliant, anyway.

Thanks for your info. We shouldn%26#39;t be all that tired on Saturday...we are only coming from Prague when we arrive in Munich. (It won%26#39;t be from the US or anything that would cause jetlag.)
