What are the most impressive sights?

We will be in Berchtesgaden/Salzburg are for two days, unfortunately those days are Saturday and Sunday. With that in mind which would be best for me to get the most out of my time?

Cruise on Lake Konigssee

Eagles Nest

Mount Jenner

Hallstat

Salzburg - castle, church, Mozart%26#39;s home, gardens, walking old town.

Thanks to all!

we love the boat ride on Koenigsee - gorgeous!

Eagles Nest was closed when we were there in December but would be high on my list.

And Salzburg is delightful, period.

Check it out for yourself.

If you are just using a train for transportation I would just spend the time in Salzburg, enough to see in two days.

If you have car and want to want get out Berchtesgarden is a better than Hallstadt just because of the distance. In Berchtesgarden if you have a big interest in history would do Eagles Nest and the documentation center if the sky is clear. If interested in outdoor sites would do the lake and depending on how earlier you get going you could still do Eagles Nest.

On a weekend, if you take the Koenigsee boat ride, don%26#39;t get off at St. Bartholomae outbound. You can get stuck there waiting for quite some time for available space on continuing boats, in either direction.

I suggest you take the boat to the end of the run. Then, on the way back, if you have the time, get off at St. B., otherwise continue back to the village of Koenigsee.

Re Jenner: Again, the Obersalzberg- Eagle%26#39;s Nest (actually it%26#39;s called Kehlsteinhaus) bus can have long wait times on weekends. In that case, take the Jenner gondola lift to the top of the Jenner. It also provides great views and has some nice walks. The bus stop (or parking area) is just before you get to the Koenigsee. The Obersalzberg is in a diffent direction.
