Frankfurt Airport - Frankfurt City - Frankfurt Hahn

Hi:

My wife and I are travelling to Frankfurt this coming June. Our stays at Frankfurt is 2 days before we proceed to London on the third day via Frankfurt Hahn Airport. We wish to seek your advise on the following issues,

1. The economical way and the time need to travel from

(a) Frankfurt main airport to Frankfurt city.

(b) Frankfurt city to Hahn Airport.

* Please advise on travel fees if possible

2. Your recommendation on the place of interest(e.g flea market) that you think it is worth for a visit other than museum.

3. Is it feasible to buy Frankfurt day card if we wish to tour around city area?

Not forgetting on popular foods and drinks that not suppose to miss.

Regards,

Small fry

A) take the train easy to find and simple. Some 15 min. ride price: 3,50Euro approx.

B) a bus company called Bohr (check web site) 100 minutes - something like 15euro can%26#39;t remember exactly. Leaves near main train station /10 per day at least

2. Stroll along the riverfront-- nice way to relax

and plenty of places to explore -neighborhoods, cafes,

3 depends on your activity rate- I find Frankfurt easy to see by walking. OK there is a great train network and to get anywhere in a few minutes

Resteraunts abound .. all kinds Ask your hotel desk for what your looking for. lots of ethnic foods

1.

(a) From Terminal 1

to Hauptbahnhof (the main railway station) 11 minutes

to Hauptwache (in the centre of the city) 15 minutes

Single ticket is EUR 3,70.

With this ticket you can travel to any train/S-Bahn/U-Bahn/tram/bus stop in Frankfurt.

b)

omnibusse.bohr.de/routes/wtc/routes.php…

1,75 hours

EUR 12,00

2.

frankfurt.de/sixcms/media.php/738/frankfurt_…

frankfurt-tourismus.de/cms/…home.html

Hahn airport is some 125 km west of Frankfurt. You could also skip Frankfurt totally, travel from the airport directly to Mainz (EUR 3,70 per person)

mainz.de/WGAPublisher/…hpkr-5nkgnz.en.html

and next day from there into the Middle Rhine Valley

http://www.marksburg.de

(mini group day ticket local public transport is EUR 27,00 (Rhinland-Palatinate Ticket))

Than either from Mainz or Koblenz by shuttle bus to Hahn airport.

At least much more of a contrast program compared to Singapore and London than Frankfurt.

%26gt; Not forgetting on popular foods and drinks that not suppose to miss.

Frankfurt: apple wine

Mainz, Middle Rhine Valley: wine
