brussels-gdansk via berlin

Hello,

We are travelling from brussels to gdansk in summer to join a wedding. By that time, we will have a baby of 6 months, so we don%26#39;t want to drive to many hours a day. We were thinking of staying some days in berlin. About 3 days... Are there other cities worth visiting? Dusseldorf? Hannover?

I am still doubting if going by car is such a good idea, but since we have a lot of luggage, I don%26#39;t think that taking a plane is an option...

Travelling times by train??

Hi!

I%26#39;m just trying to get a rough indication of travelling times so I can plan my itinerary. If anyone knows the type of train/transport, or whether I%26#39;ll have to change trains, that would be great!! There%26#39;s quite a few, sorry :(

Times from:

*Hamburg to Berlin

*Hamburg to Lueneburg

*Berlin to Goettingen

*Berlin to Harz Mountains

*Goettingen to Harz Mountains (including Brocken, Wernigerode, Quedlinburg and how to get to/from each of these places)

*Goettingen to Dresden

*Dresden to Nuernberg

*Dresden to Frankfurt

*Frankfurt to to Munich

*Nuernberg to Munich

*Nuernberg to Stuttgart

*Stuttgart to Munich

Whoa! That%26#39;s a lot. Any help would be HUGELY appreciated. thanks so much :)

Go to the German Rail website www.bahn.de and you can punch in the details for each trip. There is an English language option.

For each trip you%26#39;ll get the details as to whether changes are necessary and total trip time. You can even print out the details.

new Motel One in Leipzig

A long shot I guess, as its just opened but can anyone give any reports on the new Motel One which opened in Leipzig last month - located opposite Nikolaikirche. Either anyone who%26#39;s been there or local knowledge from anyone living in Leipzig area.

I%26#39;ve booked a room to stay there later this month (over the Pfingsten weekend) but still have another hotel booking, just in case!

I know that Motel One%26#39;s tend to have pretty tiny rooms but the location looked too tempting to pass up on, combined with the fact that the price is half that of my other hotel option!

Need to make a decision pretty soon on which hotel to cancel - the other option being the Hotel Adagio, which looks lovely but not as central and quite pricey for me now that the £ has gone so low.

City centre motorhome parking?

Hey,

I%26#39;m traveling around Germany in June with some friends in a campervan and one of our destinations is Hannover.

We%26#39;re looking for somewhere where we can park up and spend the night as close to the attractions of the centre as possible, preferably with toilet/shower facilities too.

I%26#39;ve looked at camp sites but I%26#39;m struggling to find one close enough to centre.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Rob

I have been to hannover many times and don%26#39;t think there is anywhere in the centre, but done some research for you and found a place which says it is 15 mins by car from the centre.

Type in www.camping-hannover.de/en/camping and have a look at the website.

Hope you have a lovely time.

Rgds

Mike
