Can anybody tell me where in Karlsplatz Stachus station I can buy tickets for the S8 train to go to the airport. Also where I would get the train.

The S-Bahn station at Karlsplatz has only 2 tracks and 1 platform. Track direction Ostbahnhof (labelled %26quot;Ri. Ostbahnhof%26quot; on the above linked map) is the correct one.

...to keep it simple... just look for a ticket counter or ticket machine... just like you would at any british station...
