Airport travel advice

Hey,

I am flying from Berlin Schoenefeld to Budapest on Monday 1st June. However, we have to check in at 5am!

Whilst in Berlin I will be staying at Landshuter Dtr 1, Berlin 10779 (South West Berlin). However I have not booked accomodation for Sunday night.

Therefore, I was wondering if anyone has any advice as to what I should do regarding getting to the airport..

I believe my options are to go to the airport late on sunday night and hang around/sleep on chairs.

Or does public transport run at 4.30am? Then I would book another night at the hotel.

Or is there a cheap hotel/hostel by the airport?

I would be very grateful if someone could help me out....

I would tend to doubt the necessity of your having to be at the airport at 5AM for a flight. Most flights I am used to taking around Europe require you to check in only at least 30 minutes before departure. There%26#39;s no need to be at the airport at 5AM for a 7AM flight if the airline staff doesn%26#39;t arrive until 6AM (that%26#39;s happened to me before, kind of disgusting the airlines not telling you that). Why don%26#39;t you check with the airlines about what time you need to be there and what time their check-in staff arrives in the morning.
