My family and I will be in Munich for 7 nights just after Christmas - 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a child. I have looked and looked at trip advisor with respect to hotels and have come down to the following two hotels - Kings First Class and Hotel Admiral. Hotel Admiral is slightly higher in price (which we are OK with). I was wanting something central (easy to walk to sights as we won%26#39;t have a car), nice to stay in and in a nice area. We will be using the train for day trips out of Munich. Any advice or assistance in choosing will be appreciated.

Admiral is full of Brits as it%26#39;s the hotel for the European Patent Office, so the attorneys stay there. Have you thought of other end of town -i.e. near main station, for ease of travel?

Bayerischer Hof is a good idea. Its one of the grand hotels of Munich where old fashioned values reign supreme...
