train from sonthofen to vienna

I would like to travel from sonthofen to vienna by train. Does a direct train exists? If yes how long it takes and from where can i book tickets in advance?

If it comes to normal price tickets you can but you don%26#39;t have to reserve. Tickets cannot sell out in Germany or Austria.

(Seat) reservation is something else. Again optional. You can reserve seats (only on far distance trains) but you don%26#39;t have to.

Train ticket and seat reservation are in Germany/Austria not depending on each other.

You could e.g. reserve a seat 2 months in advance and buy the ticket only 5 minutes before departure.
